Select both if you run boys and girls — most programs do. Each gets its own weight classes and lineups, in one account.
Unlocks kiosk mode. You can change this any time in Settings.
Team Setup — Required Acknowledgment
By checking the box below, I agree to the ScratchWeight Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and I specifically acknowledge that:
The weight-management system designated by my state association (currently the NWCA OPC on Trackwrestling) is the only official record. ScratchWeight is an unofficial convenience tool — if they ever disagree, the official system controls, and I must verify ScratchWeight's information against official records before relying on it.
I and my school — not ScratchWeight — are responsible for the accuracy of the data my staff enters and for every eligibility, weigh-in, and weight-management decision.
My school permits this team's use of ScratchWeight, and I have obtained every parent/guardian consent required for athletes under 18. No athlete under 13 will use ScratchWeight.
ScratchWeight is not medical advice. My team follows our state association's weight-management rules and the guidance of physicians, athletic trainers, and certified assessors.
I will never enter Trackwrestling, OPC, or NWCA login credentials into ScratchWeight, and I will not enter athlete birthdates, government IDs, addresses, or medical records.
Step 2 · Add your roster
Add athletes now, or skip and add them later from the Roster tab. Certified assessment data is entered per athlete once you have it.
ScratchWeight is a reference tool, not a regulatory authority.
Reference tool only. Verify all compliance outcomes against current OSSAA regulations. ScratchWeight does not replace your state association handbook.

Accessibility
Text size
Applies everywhere, including the kiosk and the athlete view. Saved on this device.
Higher contrast
Darkens muted text and strengthens borders for easier reading in a bright gym
Reduce motion
Turns off sliding and fading animations
For read-aloud, use your device's own screen reader — VoiceOver on iPhone and iPad
(Settings → Accessibility), TalkBack on Android, or Narrator on Windows. ScratchWeight is
labelled to work with them, and a built-in reader would be worse than the one you already have.

Before you hand this out
Two choices and your program code. Both are changeable later in Settings.
Let athletes log from their phone
They see only their own record. Entries are tagged self-reported until you mark one official.
Require a photo of the scale
Only applies to self-reported weigh-ins. Photos are kept 21 days.
Your program code
—
Athletes need this plus their own athlete code to sign in. It's always in Settings → Program, so you don't have to write it down.
Coach PIN
Required to exit kiosk mode — students cannot exit
Set your password
So you don't need your athlete code every time
End the season
Nothing is deleted — it moves to the archive
Archived seasons stay downloadable from Settings. This keeps the live program small so it loads quickly on every device.
Set your kiosk PIN
Four digits, typed on the team scale before you log a weight. This is not your password.
Certified weigh-in
—
Competition weights only. A wrestler who comes in above their allowed weight has their descent plan reset from this figure. Coming in under changes nothing.
—
—
A weigh-in added here is recorded as coach-entered for that date.
Correct a weigh-in
—
The original reading is kept on the record and the entry is marked coach edited from now on.

Import weight certifications
TrackWrestling → Weight Certification roster, saved or printed as PDF
The certified minimum weight and minimum weight class come straight from the certification sheet. ScratchWeight does not recalculate them.

Let our email through
Two minutes now saves a missed invoice later
School districts filter aggressively, and a sender they have not seen before often
lands in quarantine rather than your inbox. Everything ScratchWeight sends you goes
to your account, not to athletes:
Receipts, invoices, and renewal reminders
Promo and founding-program codes
Password resets and assistant-coach invitations
Rule-set changes that affect your compliance numbers
Add this sender to your safe list
no-reply@send.scratchweight.com
Allowing the whole send.scratchweight.com domain is even better.
If you are on a school address — most districts filter before mail
reaches your mailbox, so a safe-sender rule of your own may not be enough. Ask your
IT office to allow send.scratchweight.com. You can forward them this
page. Nothing we send contains athlete information.
Codes and invoices are always visible in the app as well, so email is never the only
way to get something you need.
Send feedback
ScratchWeight is new and still being shaped by the coaches using it
Please don't include athlete names or any student information in your note.
Restore weigh-ins from an export
Puts back a day's weights from a roster CSV you exported earlier
Newer exports carry the date in the file and fill this in for you. Older ones need it typed.
Athletes are matched by their code, then by name. A weight is only added when that athlete has
no entry for that date already — running this twice cannot create duplicates.
Import roster from Rank One
Rank One → athlete list for Wrestling, saved or printed as PDF
This brings in names, gender, and grade only. Student ID numbers are deliberately not imported. Rank One remains your school's eligibility record — ScratchWeight does not track eligibility.
Possible duplicates
These names are close to wrestlers already on your roster. Tell us which is which — a near-match could be a typo or a different athlete.
Coach Weigh-In Entry

Do not enter birthdates, addresses, medical information, or ID numbers.
New Assessment

Computed Min Weight
—
Lowest Certifiable Class
—
—
Reference tool only. Computed values assist with — but do not replace — the certified assessment process. Coach must confirm before saving.
Add Athlete
Added at Program level
No date of birth collected — grade + graduation year only (COPPA/FERPA posture, Build Spec §3.6). Assessment can be added after.
Edit Athlete
Changes apply across the whole season
Changing the team can change which weight classes apply. Weigh-in history is never altered by an edit.
Remove from roster
Setting an athlete Inactive hides them from Today and the kiosk but keeps their history.
Deleting erases the athlete and every weigh-in, assessment, and lineup slot for good.
Add team lineup
Each team and squad gets its own weight classes and slots
New Event
Weight classes auto-populate from rule set
Descent feasibility is checked against the first day, when they weigh in.
